Plympton Academy is seeking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You will be supported with excellent training to become an skilled and valued team member.

Key responsibilities include enabling pupils’ access to learning by supervising and assisting pupils (one to one and in small groups) across a wide range of activities and supported learning activities. 

You will hold GCSE or equivalent Maths & English GCSE/ Functional Skills Equivalent (Grade 4/C or Level 2).

  • Provide teaching and learning to our students with the support of the Classroom Teacher
  • Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate 
  • Committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Good ICT skills
  • Understanding of the educational system and current developments
