Salary: TSAT Pay Group 4 pro rata to £20,480 - £24,231 for hours and weeks stated (£22,818 - £26,997 FTE)

Hours per week: 37 hours per week, term time only + 10 days (40 weeks per year)

Start date: September 2023 

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to provide support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead in all matters of safeguarding and child protection across the school. You will advise and support members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters, and may liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience of working with children, young people and families and dealing with barriers to education.
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection issues
  • Working knowledge of the school exclusion process and procedures would be desirable
  • The ability to work as part of a team, and openly and collaboratively with multi-agency colleagues, while applying the principles of confidentiality 
  • Excellent time management skills to enable strict deadlines to be met are a requirement alongside effective analytical skills and problem solving
