Maritime Academy are seeking a Science Teacher to join their new school.  Applications are invited from teachers and ECT’s who have experience of teaching Science.  The successful candidate will be a qualified Science Teacher or ECT who is passionate about teaching and learning, is ready to embrace new ideas and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills.  They will be an effective classroom practitioner who is able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum and have a thorough knowledge of present curriculum development.  They will also have high expectations for achievements and behaviour, and will be dedicated to ensuring our students are actively engaged with school, making progress and aspire to become life-long learners.  Our Curriculum Intent can be viewed here. 

 

Lead Practitioner role (LP Scale LP3 – LP7 £47,226 - £51,482 per annum)

We would also consider applications for the position of Lead Practitioner.  As Trust Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the professional development of our teaching staff and ensuring high-quality teaching practices are implemented in the classroom. This role is a key position in our Trust Leadership Team, and we are looking for exceptional candidates who can lead by example and inspire subject staff to achieve their best.   This role will be split between 4 days working at Maritime Academy and 1 day per a week in Trust role.  

 

Our School

Maritime Academy, is a brand-new secondary school serving the community of Medway, which opened in September 2022. As a growing school we will be welcoming our next cohort of Students in September 2023 and are therefore seeking staff to join us on our ‘Voyage’ as we develop our Academy together.  This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we expand our network of schools, building upon our established ethos and values.
