Salary:  TSAT G Scale (£41,768-£47,009 per annum) 

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Location:  Plymouth (travel required across the South West)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR practitioner to join our team as a HR Business Partner to provide an operational and strategic focused HR service to our schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a really exciting time for our Trust, as we continue to grow in the South West and enhance the professional services that we provide.

This role is based in Plymouth however you will be required to travel to other schools in the South West area as the Trust continue to grows.

You will work closely with senior school leaders and build relationships with key stakeholders to design and deliver strategies to meet the people objectives of the Trust.

You will be influential in driving change whilst playing a key role in the development of our growing family of schools in the South West. You will lead on the HR service offering by utilising your expertise and being the main point of contact for school leadership teams on matters relating to people polices, practices and principles, offering advice guidance and support.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Extensive HR Knowledge with a CIPD Level 7 qualification ( or working towards)
  • Previous Education experience is desirable 
  • Be able to manage and influence stakeholders and develop effective working relationships to enable a first-class HR service 
  • Experience of succession planning and talent management 
  • Experience of implementing talent and performance management practices
  • Experience of leading on HR change projects such as restructures, TUPE and HR policies 
  • Ability to analyse and report on data as well as drive change as a result of that analysis
  • Support the recruitment and resourcing plans for our school with the support of our recruitment team and business managers
  • Autonomy to plan your own work load and lead the HR service in the South West
  • Ability to travel to sites in Portsmouth and Kent for occasional
