Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Apprenticeship Scale : £6.15 per hour

30 hours per week – Term time only

Start date: As soon as possible

We are looking for an apprentice teaching assistant who has the drive, passion and skills to work at our three form entry, Primary academy, based in Portsmouth.   

Our school is a friendly, welcoming place with children who are full of energy and life. Learning is at the heart of what we do and we believe that all children enjoy their time at school. Our school is set in a large Victorian building, with high ceilings and plenty of space. We have 3 large halls and 3 playgrounds.  

The right candidate for the role may have previous experience of working within an education environment or have a strong urge to work with young people to support their physical and mental wellbeing. You will also possess excellent written and communication skills. Training and support will be continually provided to enable you to develop into your role and complete your apprenticeship.

The ideal candidates will have high levels of motivation, energy and commitment with a reflective approach to the role and the ability to work to build positive relationships with students and their parents/carers.The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can work as both part of a team and contribute to the effective organisation of the school with administrative support.
