Digital Development & Application Support Officer 

Salary: £30,000 plus performance bonus

Full time - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Location: Trust Central offices at Meon Junior School, Portsmouth

We are looking for a Digital Development & Application Support Officer to join Thinking Solutions for Education to offer strategic support to our schools.

The Digital Development and Application Support Officer position is a new role to help Portsmouth to ’re-imagine' education to support the economic development and regeneration strategy. You could play a significant role in making Portsmouth Britain's premier waterfront technology and innovation city.

This role will be a key role in a new partnership between Portsmouth City Council and The Thinking Schools Academy Trust to support schools across the City implement their digital learning strategy

This position will be primarily based at Meon Junior School in Portsmouth but will require regular travel between schools in the Portsmouth area to work on exciting projects directly with the Director of Education to deliver on a transformative agenda.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and solution focused individual. You will be a key member of the Thinking Technology Team, providing support and development of systems to enhance teaching and learning.

Thinking Solutions for Education offers services to schools and academies to allow leaders to divert more time and resources towards putting ‘children first’. These services include: Technology, Financial, Personnel as well as Marketing and Communication. 

The organisation is a trading subsidiary of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust that supports the learning of nearly 10,000 pupils across the South-East

Your new role:

• Support the development of requirements, operating procedures and implementation of software solutions and applications for the benefit of teaching & learning and administration.
• Train users on the effective use of software applications and to develop knowledge base articles to support the delivery of an effective self-service portal.
• Monitor and track usage and engagement of applications and services and supporting Schools to improving uptake of new applications, features and services.
• Advise on technical and education developments as they relate to the delivery of applications and services and how such developments can be linked to teaching and learning strategies.
• Assist with the procurement and on-site support of applications and services.
