Teacher Training

If you are interested in training to teach in a primary or secondary setting, please get in touch to find out more about our teacher training programme. Teachers who have trained with us are now successfully working within positions of responsibility, from Heads of House, to Curriculum Leaders and even Assistant Headteachers. As a School Centred Initial Teacher Training Provider (SCITT) , we can offer the opportunity to train to teach with us.

Ideally, you will have graduated with a 1st or 2.1. For primary teaching your degree can be in any subject but for secondary teaching it should be relevant to your chosen subject. You must have a GCSE qualification at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English (and Science for Primary courses). You will also need to sit and pass the Professional Skills Tests required to embark on the Train to Teach School Direct course.

In order to apply to be a trainee teacher with our Trust, you must have:

• A UK undergraduate degree or a recognised equivalent qualification
• A GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics
• A GCSE grade C or above in a science if you are applying to teach primary or key stage 2/3 (ages 7–14)

 We are holding an information evening on Tuesday 10th November via MS Teams. If you or anyone you know are interested in training to teach, come along to find out more about our teacher training programme.
