Permanent, Full-Time, to start September 2024

King Alfred School (KAS) is a progressive independent school in idyllic grounds in North London. Our independence means that we can be take a holistic approach to education and value the progress young people make in all areas. The King Alfred School is looking for a talented teacher to join our unique and exceptional school from September 2024. The role has potential for additional responsibility for a suitably qualified candidate.

You will:
• Teach at all key stages including GCSE and A-Level.
• Support the Head of Department building the profile of Geography across the School, including uptake at GCSE and A-Level.
• Ensure that Geography teaching and learning are of a consistently high quality on a day-to-day basis.
• Play a full role in the life of the school, including as Tutor or co-Tutor.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
• Relevant teaching experience (includes teacher placements for NQTs), a good honours degree and QTS.
• Track record of being an excellent teacher in own classroom
• Ability to establish successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
• A passion for holistic and forward-thinking education

The salary for this role will be on KAS scale. This is the same as the Outer London pay scale, with the addition of the KAS supplement (c.£5,000).
