We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and innovative part-time Pupil Development and Support Lead to join our team at West Hill School. We are looking for an exceptional and experienced individual who can help our children to ACHIEVE as much as they possible can and FLOURISH in adult life. We are seeking someone ideally with with prior experience of supporting teaching and interventions with primary aged children with additional needs.

As our primary school is growing year on year and in response to the impact of the pandemic we have a new role available to support children further in achieving their learning outcomes. This role could suit an existing and experienced lead TA or someone with previous teaching experience. This person will be part of the approach to ensuring that our recovery curriculum has targeted support and additional resource to help our children at this critical point.

Our children are hugely determined, inspiring and ready for learning. We are well supported by parents and both the Local Governing Body and The Howard Partnership Trust. We are a vibrant and thriving learning environment, which has just undergone a huge redevelopment programme providing us with space and opportunities for all.

Our primary children work at least 3-4 years away from age-related expectations and all pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan covering a range of complex learning difficulties, including speech and language difficulties, autism and/or medical needs. Our models of learning mean that our children are based in mixed aged groups of 10-12 children.

We are a “can do” organisation and we want innovation and enthusiasm to help us continue to develop our provisions with us and drive forward our high standards. You will be a confident and adaptable individual who is ready to become part of our community. We have a track record of supporting staff through to teaching and beyond. We need team players and individuals that embrace change and see it as an opportunity.

We can offer you:

• Keen and eager children who are learning how to learn and ultimately love learning
• Friendly and support staff, parents and governors
• Varied curriculum and development opportunities
• Amazing environments in which children really thrive

If, prior to applying you are interested in finding out more about this role, you are warmly welcomed to contact Lucie Scott, our Vice Principal initially via email lucie.scott@westhill.thpt.org.uk and we will be pleased to talk to you further.

Interviews may happen earlier than the closing date by mutual agreement; early applications are encouraged.

Closing date Monday 11th July although we encourage early applications and interviews will be arranged accordingly. This position may be withdrawn earlier upon successful appointments.
