Fox Grove School is a purpose-built school in Leatherhead, designed to meet the needs of pupils with Complex Communication & Interaction Needs.

The school has been on the new site from January 2022, we are expanding in September in Year R, 3, and 7. We are looking to recruit a Literacy Assistant for all Year Groups (flexible working requests accepted).
Fox Grove School prepares each pupil with the skills & knowledge they need to progress independently to the next phase of their educational journey. Recognising staff well-being must be at the heart of our school, so staff can best support our pupils to progress.

The literacy assistant will work closely with the Reading Lead to ensure the teaching of Reading is at the heart of learning for Fox Grove Pupils of all ages. A self-motivated organised candidate with the ability to work independently with complex SEN pupils under the guidance of the Reading lead.

Duties will include:
• Supporting pupils with teaching of reading and writing, leading small group projects to improve reading for targeted pupils
• Leading whole school initiatives and implementing literacy projects in classes across the school.
• Overseeing resources and libraries to ensure they are maintained as inviting places to read.
• Researching and ordering inspiring resources to support the reading life of pupils at Fox Grove.
