Working Pattern: 36 hours per week across 39 weeks per year


We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Support & Wellbeing Manager to join the team at Oxted School. This role will develop and implement strategies to support students with personal and social problems, and liaise with colleagues to involve internal and external support agencies where necessary. Duties will also include delivering training to school staff on specialist areas such as student mental health and well-being; and providing specific support and intervention for identified students.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English & Maths), or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level, together with a relevant Vocational Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 3 e.g. Support Work in Schools Qualifications Level 3 (SWIS). A counselling qualification or equivalent related to working with children and/or young people desirable. Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with staff and students are a must, together with the ability to prioritise and plan your own workload in the context of conflicting priorities.
