The Howard Partnership Trust (THPT) is looking for Teaching Assistants across the school within our Trust. We can offer opportunities in our secondary, primary and special schools and centres.
Previous experience is not necessarily a requirement as we offer a full Induction programme and Training is given.
The role of a Teaching Assistant supports the teacher in assisting with the planning, preparation, and development of the education of pupils and students across our schools. We can offer opportunities to work both as a general class Teaching Assistant as well as on a one-to-one capacity with pupils with special education needs.
We would like to hear from those who will act as positive role models to our pupils/students, who have good interpersonal and listening skills, along with a commitment to helping our children achieve their full potential. In addition, we will require you to have good numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE level 4 in English and Maths or equivalent.
We have opportunities for those:
• who are looking for their first role in a school
• who have experience and maybe looking for their next steps into Senior/Lead Teaching Assistant
• who would like the prospect to progress to become Higher Level Teaching Assistant through further training.
This is also an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to become a teacher to gain valuable work experience and an understanding of what the career entails. We have supported the successful progression of several of our teaching assistants who have obtained their degrees, through the graduate teacher apprenticeship programme to become qualified teachers.
