Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.12pm with a 30 minute unpaid break

We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician Lead to join the team at the Howard of Effingham School. The postholder will be responsibile for leading the Senior Science Technicians and Science Technicians in supporting the teaching of science by ensuring the delivery of high quality laboratory services. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and listening skills with a commitment to helping.

Postholders will establish responsibility for the safe storage of equipment, materials and the disposal of waste products in accordance with the relevant safety regulations, school guidelines and school procedures as well as support the Head of Faculty in tasks regarding administration, distribution and collation of resources, Teaching and Learning and attending and contributing to faculty meetings.

The successful candidate will be educated to minimum A level standard in a science subject (Degree desirable.)
