Key Responsibilities:
• Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of boarding students in line with National Minimum Standards for Boarding.
• Assist with the day-to-day operation of the boarding house, including morning routines, mealtimes, evening duties and overnight supervision when required.
• Supervise and support students during boarding time, weekends and selected activities throughout the school day.
• Encourage students in their academic studies, including supervised homework sessions.
• Organise and supervise weekend activities, trips and co-curricular opportunities.
• Liaise effectively with teaching staff, tutors and the boarding team to ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Maintain a positive, well-organised and disciplined boarding environment.
• Assist with boarding administration and record keeping.
• Support boarding house recruitment activities, including welcoming prospective students and families.
• Participate in Open Days, staff meetings, training and school events as required.

• Has experience working with young people.
• Is warm, approachable, patient and genuinely interested in supporting young people.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Can work independently, use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
• Is adaptable, resilient and willing to become fully involved in boarding school life.
• Has good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding, pastoral care and student welfare.

Previous experience within a boarding, residential or educational environment would be advantageous, as would safeguarding, mental health or first aid training.

What We Offer
• Salary of £24,906.52 per annum.
• Rent-free single accommodation within the boarding house.
• All utilities, council tax and associated accommodation costs covered.
• Meals provided during term time.
• Laundry service available during term time.
• A supportive and welcoming community environment.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
