We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Toddler Room Leader to lead our toddler provision and create a warm, stimulating environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career, or an established Room Leader looking for a new challenge within a well-established school and nursery environment.
About Eton End Nursery
Eton End is a well-established independent school and nursery, founded in 1936, set within beautiful grounds in Datchet, Berkshire. The Nursery, known as The Nest, provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children from 3 months through to 4 years.
The setting combines the warmth and close-knit feel of a nursery with the opportunities and facilities of a wider school community. Children have access to spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments and benefit from a rich range of experiences designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and independence.
As Toddler Room Leader, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact during an important stage of children's development, supporting them as they become increasingly independent, develop their communication and language skills and build positive relationships with those around them.

What You'll Be Doing
As Toddler Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room, leading your team and ensuring children receive the highest standards of care, learning and development.
You'll:
• Lead and support the Toddler Room team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Plan and provide engaging, age-appropriate experiences that follow children's interests and support their development.
• Create a nurturing environment that encourages toddlers to explore, communicate and develop their independence.
• Take responsibility for observations, assessments and planning in line with the EYFS.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and understand their individual needs.
• Develop positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating effectively about children's progress and wellbeing.
• Support and mentor Early Years Practitioners within your room.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene are maintained.
• Work closely with the Nursery leadership team to ensure consistently high standards of practice.
• Contribute to the wider life of Eton End and make the most of the opportunities available within the school environment.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
• A Level 3 or above Early Years qualification recognised as full and relevant.
• Previous experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner, or strong experience ready to take the next step.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Knowledge of the specific needs of toddlers and how to support their growing independence.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• The confidence to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A warm, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• A genuine passion for providing children with the very best start in life.
