Early Years Practitioner
Little Oaks Nursery (At Derby Grammar School)

Location: Littleover, Derby (DE23 4BX) — On-site parking available
Salary: Up to £30,051 per year, DOE (Full-Time Equivalent)
Role Type: Permanent, Year-Round
Nursery Hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Engage & Inspire: Plan and deliver fun, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences using the EYFS framework.
• Track Growth: Complete regular observations and accurately track children’s developmental milestones.
• Partner with Families: Build trusted, warm relationships with parents and provide regular feedback.
• Safety First: Maintain a highly safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.

What You Need to Apply
• Qualifications: A minimum DfE-approved Level 2 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (Level 3+ is highly welcomed).
• Experience: Hands-on experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Knowledge: A solid, confident understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Traits: A caring, positive, high-energy approach to early childhood education.
