Job Description

Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner (Unqualified or Level 2+)
Join our prestigious school nursery setting in Letchworth Garden City!

St Francis’ Nursery is a high-performing independent setting in Hertfordshire. We are seeking a permanent, full-time Nursery Assistant or Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

No formal childcare qualifications? No problem! We highly encourage applications from individuals who have hands-on nursery or childcare experience but do not yet hold a formal qualification. We will provide full training and support!


Salary: Up to £30,051 per year (DOE, Full-Time Equivalent)
Hours: Full-time, permanent, year-round (Nursery open 7:30am–6:30pm, Mon–Fri)
Schedule: Standard 5 days (4-day shift patterns can be discussed)
Location: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire (SG6)

What You Need to Apply
• Experience: Practical experience working in a nursery, childcare, or school setting
• Qualification: A Level 2+ Early Years qualification is desirable, but not essential
• Knowledge: A basic understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding
• Traits: A caring, positive, and enthusiastic approach to early education
