Occupational Therapist

Buxlow School is seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to work with our pupils on a specialist and targeted basis. Working as part of our supportive school community, you will provide high quality therapeutic input as requested to help pupils develop the skills they need to access learning and daily school life.
At Buxlow School, we believe every child deserves an environment where they are understood, respected and celebrated. Our independent school supports children aged 5–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition and additional needs. Through a personalised curriculum, highly trained staff and a warm, inclusive atmosphere, we help each child unlock their unique potential.
We welcome interest from qualified Occupational Therapists, and while previous school based experience is desirable, it is not essential. What matters most is a commitment to supporting neurodiverse learners and working collaboratively with our staff team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist and targeted occupational therapy support to pupils as requested.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and leaders to support pupils’ access to learning.
• Contribute to assessments, reports and recommendations to inform personalised provision.
• Support pupils’ development in areas such as sensory regulation, fine/gross motor skills and functional independence.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff within our nurturing school environment.
