Job Description
Holme Court Andover
HLTA
We are looking to appoint HLTAs to join Holme Court Andover, starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teaching assistants and HLTAs to make a real difference working with a small group of pupils who have additional needs.
The role is full time. Starting in September 2026, you will be supporting and working with small groups of pupils who have additional needs. We are seeking dynamic, inspirational, and highly motivated individuals to join us. You will be enthusiastic, experienced, and well qualified with a good understanding SEND needs.
At Holme Court Andover, we are committed to creating a nurturing, therapeutic learning environment where every child feels safe, understood, and valued. As an independent specialist school supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with SEND Needs and associated communication, sensory, social, and emotional needs, we take a highly individualised, needs-led approach to education.
We recognise that every pupil has a unique profile of strengths, interests, and support needs, which is why our provision is tailored to each child’s individual developmental journey rather than a diagnosis alone. Through a personalised curriculum, structured and supportive routines, and a skilled multidisciplinary team, we empower pupils to develop confidence, communication skills, independence, and a lifelong love of learning while achieving meaningful progress both academically and personally.
Located in the heart of Andover, our warm and inclusive school community provides a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment where every pupil is celebrated for who they are. We are dedicated to helping children develop the skills, resilience, and self-belief they need to thrive, ensuring they are supported to reach their full potential and achieve positive outcomes for the future.
As an HLTA at Holme Court Andover you will support a tailored curriculum to pupils in KS1 and 2.
We are looking for HLTAs who can:
• Take responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
• Work with identified curriculums and supporting specific subjects as well as helping with lesson planning.
• Develop learning resources, delivering lessons and supporting the assessment of learning.
• Support extra-curricular activities such as education visits and recording/reporting pupil outcomes.
• At times, be the lead practitioner in the class delivering whole class teaching without the teacher present.
If you feel you have the skills and passion to join Holme Court Andover then we look forward to hearing from you.
