Contract – Contractor, up to £13.00 - £14.50 per hour, plus holiday pay
Start Date – July 2025

About the Role
Derby Grammar School is seeking Senior Camp Instructors who are dedicated, organised and enthusiastic to support and lead our Holiday Camp programme. You will help deliver engaging activities for children aged 4–13 and play a key role in supporting and developing the wider instructor team. With work available during every school holiday, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of our expanding Holiday Camp provision at Derby Grammar School.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and oversee activities for children aged 4–13 using pre planned session content
• Create a positive, safe and supportive environment for all children
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Support and mentor instructors, helping them improve delivery and build confidence
• Model high standards of behaviour, professionalism and session quality
• Communicate clearly with parents, staff and the camp leadership team
• Demonstrate reliability, excellent time keeping and consistency throughout each day
What We’re Looking For
• Calm, organised and detail oriented individuals
• Experience working in a childcare setting
• Confidence managing small teams and supporting colleagues
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example
• Energy and enthusiasm to deliver high quality sessions
All training will be provided to ensure your readiness for this role.
