Gidea Park Prep seeks to appoint a well qualified and dynamic Music specialist teacher. This is an exciting time to join the school, as pupil numbers have risen dramatically in recent years and the school’s future is bright.
Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co educational day school for children aged 6 months to 11. Our mission statement says a lot about our school: To give pupils the skills and knowledge they need to get to the schools they want to go to, and the experiences and confidence they need to thrive when they get there.

Music at Gidea Park Prep has come on in leaps and bounds under the current head of music and we are now looking for someone to build on this success and to take music in the school to the next level. We are looking to further raise the profile and standard of music and to increase the number of our pupils who are in a position to apply for music scholarships to independent senior schools.
The right candidate will:
• Have Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of continuing professional development.
• Have recent experience teaching Music at primary level.
• Deliver high quality teaching and learning, inspiring children with enthusiasm and a love of music.
• Have a sound knowledge of the requirements of the national curriculum for Music.
• Have the ability to prepare and deliver inspiring lessons that take into account the individual needs of all pupils.
• Show the flexibility and adaptability that is the hallmark of Gidea Park staff.
