Job Description

Job Title: Lifeguard
Location: St. Francis’ College, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PJ
Hours: Sundays, 08:15–12:45 (4.5 hours)
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Start Date: 10th May

About the Role
St?Francis’ College is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lifeguard to support our Sunday swimming sessions. This role is ideal for someone who is safety focused, confident around children and families, and passionate about maintaining a safe and welcoming pool environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervising swimmers and ensuring safety at all times
• Responding promptly to any incidents
• Setting up and packing away pool equipment
• Carrying out basic cleaning of changing rooms after sessions
• Liaising with parents and staff when required
• Supporting the smooth running of the pool and sharing improvement ideas
• Understanding safeguarding, Normal Operating Procedures and the Emergency Action Plan

Qualifications
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or NRASTC (or equivalent)
• Ability to supervise a pool depth of up to 3.5m (preferred)
