We are delighted to invite applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Lower Key Stage 2 team, supporting our wonderful Year 3 class. This is a full time, permanent, term time only role, starting in September 2026.
Grange Park Preparatory School and Nursery, based in Enfield, North London, is a co educational independent school for children aged 3–11. Our pupils are exceptionally well prepared for their next steps at 11+.
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who will bring energy, initiative and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning. You will work closely with the Year 3 class teacher to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally as they transition through KS2.
We would like to hear from you if you:
• Have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in a primary school setting.
• Hold GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the diverse social, cultural and physical needs of children.
• Have a strong interest in how children learn, behave and develop.
• Can act as a positive role model both in and out of the classroom.
• Genuinely care about children, especially those who may find learning or behaviour management more challenging.
• Have training or experience in SEND areas such as ADHD, Dyslexia or Autism.
While prior school experience is not essential, the following would be advantageous:
• Experience delivering 1:1 or small group booster sessions in literacy or numeracy.
• Experience supporting children with EAL.
• Experience working with gifted and talented pupils.
• A recognised Teaching and Learning qualification (NOS STL or equivalent).
