We are delighted to invite applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team, supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6. This is a full time, permanent, term time only role, starting in September 2026.
Grange Park Preparatory School and Nursery, based in Enfield, North London, is a co educational independent school for children aged 3–11. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who will bring energy, initiative and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning. You will work closely with our KS2 teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential—academically, socially and emotionally.
We would like to hear from you if you:
• Have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in a primary school setting.
• Hold GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the diverse social, cultural and physical needs of children.
• Have a strong interest in how children learn, behave and develop.
• Can act as a positive role model both in and out of the classroom.
• Genuinely care about children, especially those who may find learning or behaviour management more challenging.
• Have training or experience in SEND areas such as ADHD, Dyslexia or Autism.
While prior school experience is not essential, the following would be advantageous:
• Experience delivering 1:1 or small group booster sessions in literacy or numeracy.
• Experience supporting children with EAL.
• Experience working with gifted and talented pupils.
• A recognised Teaching and Learning qualification (NOS STL or equivalent).
