We are seeking to appoint a Head of Sixth Form to join the Senior leadership team at St. Francis` College. This is an exciting opportunity to not only shape the strategic direction of the Sixth Form provision but also the work with the Senior Leadership team at a whole College level.
As the Head of Sixth Form at St. Francis College you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) responsible for the day-to-day management of the Sixth Form. The Head of Sixth Form’s primary purpose is to lead and manage the Sixth Form, ensuring high standards of academic achievement and pastoral care for students in Years 12 and 13.
Set in the midst of Letchworth Garden City, St. Francis' College has been providing a first class education for girls for over 85 years, blending traditional values and a modern vision.
St. Francis’ College has been recognised for its outstanding academic results, pastoral support and the extensive range of extracurricular activities available for students.
We are?seeking to appoint a Head of Sixth Form who will work with the Head, Deputy Head Academic and Deputy Head Pastoral to ensure every pupil has access to a broad, balanced, and future-ready curriculum that is meaningful, relevant, and prepares them for success in higher education, careers, and life.
You will Provide oversight of Sixth Form tutors, UCAS and university admissions processes, enrichment and leadership opportunities, and the promotion of the Sixth Form internally and externally. A key responsibility is to maximise the retention of students from Year 11 into the Sixth Form and to lead the recruitment of new students, ensuring strong enrolment and growth. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Head of Sixth Form contributes to whole-school strategy and supports the ethos and aims of the College
We would like to hear from experienced or aspiring leaders who have a proven track record of inspiring others to reach challenging goals through effective communication and good judgement. The ability to work successfully within a team and independently is essential for this role.
