Part Time

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed and well qualified Teacher of Science to join the STEM Faculty at Saint Felix School.

The successful candidate should be able to teach Science across the whole age and ability range, Year 7 to Year 13 including GCSE and A Level. The post holder will be expected to take part in the future development of the subject both within the curriculum and the extra-curricular programme.

Science is a popular and highly valued subjects at both GCSE and A Level where students follow the Edexcel GCSE and in the Sixth Form, they have the opportunity to study separate sciences.

Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for students aged from 2 to 18, located close to the glorious seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk coast. Our aim is to develop well-rounded students with the skills and the personality to make a success of their lives during and after their school years.

The STEM faculty are a vibrant, forward-thinking department. We have high expectations and provide suitable challenges. We also aim to give pupils the confidence to make appropriate use of ICT facilities to support their learning.

We are looking for a Science teacher who will be able to;
• Deliver exciting and inspiring Science lessons across the Senior school.
• Deliver exciting and inspiring Science lessons across the Senior school. The ideal candidate will have ability to teach A Level and GCSE
• Actively support the co-curricular programme at Saint Felix.
• Work with pupils of all ability and encourage pupils to develop and reach their potential in Science.

This position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for their first teaching position. As a smaller school with a community culture, you will soon appreciate the warmth and sense of friendliness that embodies the institution.
