Job Description
Holme Court Hampshire (Yateley Manor School Site)
HLTA
Holme Court Hampshire is seeking to appoint High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled practitioners to make a meaningful impact working with small groups of pupils who have additional needs.
This is a full-time role supporting pupils aged 7–13 with Autism Spectrum Condition and a range of additional needs. We are looking for dynamic, inspirational, and highly motivated individuals who bring enthusiasm, experience, and a strong understanding of SEND practice.
At Holme Court Hampshire, every child is understood, respected, and celebrated. As an independent specialist school, we provide a personalised, needs-led curriculum that focuses on each pupil’s individual presentation and learning profile rather than diagnosis alone. Our highly trained staff and nurturing environment help every child unlock their unique potential.
As an HLTA at Holme Court Hampshire, you will:
Take responsibility for agreed learning activities under a clear system of supervision.
Support and deliver learning across identified curriculum areas, including contributing to lesson planning.
Develop learning resources, deliver lessons, and support the assessment of pupil progress.
Lead extra-curricular activities, including educational visits, and contribute to recording and reporting pupil outcomes.
Act as lead practitioner at times, delivering whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher.
Have the opportunity to develop safeguarding expertise, with scope for those interested in progressing towards a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Deputy DSL) role.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 3 SEND qualification (or equivalent) / HLTA status
Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within specialist or small-group settings
A commitment to ongoing professional development, including safeguarding responsibilities
We welcome applications from experienced SEND practitioners who are committed to ongoing professional development and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
