Position: Catering Assistant
Contract type: Full time permanent 52 weeks.

We are currently looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join their catering team at Rookwood School. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for food to join our team.
Nestled on a leafy site in Andover, Rookwood School is a happy and thriving learning environment for pupils aged 6 months to 18 years. As our catering assistant you will work with the kitchen team and support during the lunch period. You will undertake tasks as directed by the Cook and assist with the preparation of meals as well as serving and clearing after meal time. You will also perform domestic duties which ensure the safe production of food relevant to current food and health safety legislation.
We are looking for a Catering Assistant who has the following qualifications & experiences:
• Catering experience within any food establishment
• Good understanding of commercial catering operation
• A good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
• Enthusiasm, vision, drive, adaptability, and resilience
• High personal standards, self-motivated and proactive
• Suitability to work with children
• Flexible and maintain a sound sense of humour
• Commitment to continued personal and professional development
