After School Club Supervisor
12.5 hours per week, 2.5 hours per day.

We are looking to appoint an After School Club Supervisor to join our wonderful staff team at Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery. This role would involve leading the day-to-day organisation of the After School provision at the school providing high standards of care and play opportunities for our pupils between the ages of 4 to 11 years old in a safe and secure environment.
Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 6 months to 11, where pupils get the best start possible and learn in a happy and secure environment. Founded in 1917, we have been educating, nurturing and challenging children for over 100 years. Children are at the heart of everything we do; our small classes and school environment truly allow us to know our pupils as individuals and to tailor our teaching and curriculum accordingly. We have high expectations for our pupil’s academic progress and personal development and work closely with our parents to ensure that all our pupils get the very most from their time with us.
We are looking for an after school supervisor to join us for 2.5 hours per day (3.30-6pm) managing the after school care. This is a term time only role. We welcome applications from experienced school staff or practitioners looking for a new and exciting role. We are ideally looking for someone with a Level 3 childcare qualification.
We are looking for an after school club supervisor who can;
• Maintain a safe and stimulating play environment and assist with developing opportunities which encourage children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play.
• Ensure the provision offers a safe environment, with checks that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented and fire drills
• Manage and oversee the planning, preparing and delivery of activities, which meet children’s individual developmental needs.
• Follow guidelines and procedures for Safeguarding in accordance with school’s policies & procedures.
• Carry out any other duties, which will be seen to enhance the work of the After School Club.
