Yateley Manor is currently seeking to appoint a passionate and well qualified Teacher of Sport.
Yateley Manor is a leading co-educational independent school in the town of Yateley, North Hampshire. The School continues to thrive as an independent all through school for children aged 2 to 16, having recently expanded its provision to be 2 to 16 by September 2026.
The school’s reputation for academic excellence and a relentless focus on opportunities to build confidence for the future is well supported. The school is non-selective and a member of IAPS. Class sizes are small and teaching areas bright and purposeful. Facilities at the school include an indoor swimming pool, large sports hall, woodland learning area, climbing wall, and playing fields.

Sport at Yateley is strong with pupils taking part in a range of sporting activities throughout the year. Pupils take part in fixtures every Wednesday and Friday competing against local schools. Pupils participate in a range of sports including Modern Pentathlon. We have various clubs on offer throughout the year including Mountain Biking and Biathlon.
We are?seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed, and qualified Teacher of Sport to work with our strong Sports department.?The successful candidate should be able to teach across the whole age range up to Year 11, and ability range. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the future development of the subject?both within the curriculum and in terms of performance.
We would like to hear from experienced Sport/PE teachers, as well as those early in their teaching career. The ability to teach core PE and academic PE at GCSE is essential for this role. The ability to teach an additional subject ideally Geography would also be looked upon favourably.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning Responsibilities
• To undertake a designated program of teaching across all year groups as required
• Teach consistently high-quality lessons Plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements of the curriculum.
• Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in PE to maintain appropriate records and to provide relevant accurate and up-to-date information for the school assessment system.
• To complete the relevant documentation to assist in the tracking of students.
• Set expectations for staff and students in relation to standards of achievement and the quality of learning & teaching.
• Prioritize and manage time effectively, ensuring continued professional development in line with the role.
• To follow the school policies and procedures. To ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support where appropriate.
• To maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures, and to encourage good practice about punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework.
• Promote aspects of Personal Development related to PE Updating professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep up to date with developments in teaching practice and methodology, in general, and in the curriculum area of PE.
• Promote PE learning through out of hours activities. Ensure a high-quality learning environment within the PE area
