Derby Grammar School is looking to appoint a passionate Key stage 2 teacher. Starting in September 2025 you will join our outstanding teaching team. Teaching Year 5 and 6 this role would suit early career teachers or those with more experience looking for a new challenge.
Derby Grammar School is a co-educational independent school that has provided excellent schooling to pupils from Derby and across the County. Our school setting dates back to the 18th century and is surrounded by extensive grounds.
Established in 1995, Derby Grammar School is a leading independent school for children aged between 4 and 18. Located in the Derby suburb of Littleover our secluded grounds provide the perfect setting for a first-class educational experience.

We are looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 teacher who will promote a love of learning and stimulate intellectual curiosity amongst pupils at Derby Grammar School through inspirational teaching and guidance, ensuring each pupil is supported to achieve his or her potential.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to inspire and challenge all pupils to achieve their full potential. Flexibility and confidence in working with our mixed year group classes is essential, as is energy and enthusiasm for the ethos of our family orientated school. We teach many subjects in mixed year group classes, benefiting from specialist teaching in some subject areas, and we teach the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and PSHE in single year group classes.
