Kitchen/Catering Assistant

Part Time – 15 hours per week, Mon to Fri

We are currently looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with kitchen experience and a passion for food to join our team.
This is a part time position working 3 hours per day, term time only.
Collingwood School is a co-educational independent school for children aged 2 years – 11 years, which provides a broad and balanced education within a unique setting. As our Kitchen assistant you will undertake the task of supporting our Cook and supervising the preparation of meals. You will also perform domestic duties which ensure the safe production of food relevant to current food and health safety legislation. You will also assist the cook with serving where required.
We are looking for someone who has;
• Cooking experience within any food establishment
• An understanding of commercial catering operation
• A good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
• Enthusiasm, vision, drive, adaptability, and resilience
• High personal standards, self-motivated and proactive
• Suitability to work with children
• Flexible and maintain a sound sense of humour
• Commitment to continued personal and professional development
