Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)
Walton Montessori, KT12
Start Date: June 2025
Salary: £26,400 - £28,050 per annum (Dependent on experience/qualifications)
Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri
Minimum Qualification: Level 2 Early Years (DfE-approved)

We’re seeking a passionate Early Years Practitioner to cover maternity leave. You’ll create a safe, welcoming environment for children, providing high-quality care and education. There may be opportunities for a permanent role after the fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create a safe & stimulating environment for children
• Plan engaging activities to support development
• Collaborate with the team to maintain high care standards
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, & colleagues
• Follow nursery policies & procedures
• Observe & assess children’s progress

The Ideal Candidate:
• Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) – Desirable
• Experience in a nursery role
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Strong leadership, communication, & organizational skills
• Passionate, proactive, & caring approach
