We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed and well qualified Part-time French Teacher to join the languages department at Saint Felix School.
The successful candidate should be able to teach French across the whole age and ability range, year 7 to Year 13. The post holder will be expected to take part in the future development of the subject both within the curriculum and extra-curricular.
French is popular and highly valued subjects at both GCSE and A Level and students follow the AQA GCSE and in the sixth form pupils have the opportunity to study the AQA A Level Modern Languages French course.
Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged from 2 – 18, located close to the glorious seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk coast. Learning takes place in an environment of mutual respect between teachers and learners. We also aim to give pupils the confidence to make appropriate use of ICT facilities to support their learning. Specialist online Language resources are used to consolidate and develop pupils’ learning.
We are looking for a French teacher who will be able to;
• Work in the Languages department delivering French lessons across Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior. The ideal candidate will have ability or potential to teach A Level and GCSE French
• Actively support the extra-curricular programme at Saint Felix.
• Work with pupils of all ability and encourage pupils to develop and reach their potential in French
As our French Teacher you will be joining a strong department where results are excellent. This position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for their first teaching position.
