Job Description

Deputy Nursery Manager / Senior Practitioner – Westbury House Nursery

Lead, inspire, and support our nursery team in New Malden. Deputy Nursery Manager/Senior Practitioner role with competitive salary and benefits.

Salary: £31,270 – £33,390 per year (depending on experience/qualifications)

Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Monday to Friday
Minimum Level 3 DfE-Approved Early Years Qualification

Help lead an outstanding nursery where children thrive! We’re looking for a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager / Senior Practitioner to join our team in New Malden. This combined role involves supporting the Nursery Manager, delivering high-quality learning, and leading a team across our Little Learners (2–3 years) and Preschool (3–4 years) rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and support the Early Years curriculum
Lead and inspire nursery staff, modelling best practice
Assist with operational tasks: recruitment, training, and compliance
Build strong relationships with families and children
Maintain high standards of care, safety, and inclusion

What You’ll Need:

Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification (DfE-approved)
Experience as a Senior Practitioner or Deputy Manager (preferred)
Strong EYFS, Safeguarding & Child Protection knowledge
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A positive, caring attitude and passion for early years
