We are seeking to appoint an experienced and well qualified Painter and Decorator to join our Estates Team at Rookwood School.
Rookwood School is a successful non-selective co-educational independent school located a short walk from the picturesque market town of Andover in Hampshire. With a new Sixth Form, we are the only independent ‘all-through’ school in the Andover area, educating children from the age of 2 to 18.
The role of the Painter and Decorator is to complete refurbishments and project work to various parts to the School also performing general site maintenance across the School. Working independently or as part of a team to help achieve the overall aims of the School.
Our maintenance work is a mix of planned and unplanned work, and we sometimes have to change what we are doing at short notice, to respond to weather related issues for example, to make sure that the School is able to continue to teach and support our children.
We would like to hear from you if you have experience in the building trade, and can use these skills to work across every facet of Rookwood School’s site.
The main responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to;
• Taking the on project work and pre planned maintenance and painting schedules
• Carrying out skilled decorating work, both internal and external.
• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance work, either on your own or as part of the team.
• Tackling ground and building reactive maintenance and repairs as required
• Supervising contractors as part of a project
• Any other reasonable tasks or duties as directed by line manager
