Job Description

• Corner House Nursery
• Early Year Practitioner – Pre School Room
• Salary: up to £28,000 per annum
• Contract type: 52 Weeks a year
• Hours of Work: 40 hours a week, shift pattern
• Contract term: Permanent

Due to our continued expansion and demand for places we are looking to appoint passionate and caring Early Years Practitioners to join us at Corner House Nursery. This role will be to specifically work in the Pre School room.

Located in Ealing, Corner House Nursery has a strong family atmosphere and prepares children exceptionally well for their first steps towards primary school.

We believe in recruiting and training the very best early years practitioners and staff to meet the needs of all young babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in our care. We offer shift work between the hours of 8am-6pm for all our nursery staff.

We are looking for a Practitioner who is passionate about children’s learning. The ability to engage with children of every age is essential. We have a great team who will welcome you to the nursery. Our team of practitioners, room leaders and senior practitioners have a wealth of experience in early years.

Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications & experiences:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Early Years.
• Be able to maintain children’s safety and wellbeing at all times during attendance at the setting and on trips
• Can maintain positive working relationships with relevant internal and external professionals.
• Can undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by the Manager
• Can take part in supervisions, reflecting on your own wellbeing and mental health and to seek support from Management when you need it.
• Can work within policies and procedures at all times and support staff to adhere to them.
• Can Encourage learning and development, through play and teaching.
• Can creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn.
• Can work with parents to support their children.
• Are able to enable children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills.
• Can monitor progress and planning educational games.
• Can create activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day.
