Job Description

Nursery: Collingwood School Nursery

Position: Senior Early Years Practitioner, Full-Time

Salary: £29,000 to £33,000 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Wallington, Surrey

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reports to: Nursery Manager

This is a great opportunity for a qualified and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to join Collingwood School Nursery, where we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children’s early years. Working at our Nursery

Our Nursery is a special place. Even our youngest children are proud to be part of the Collingwood family and are very much part of the whole school. Every week our children in Early Years have the fantastic opportunity to ‘get into nature’ with our ‘Woodland Adventure’ afternoon. Discovery sessions takes place in Banstead Woods or Carshalton’s Wilderness Island! Each day is an adventure in learning and exploration and no day is the same.

Opening Times: 8:00am to 6:00pm
About the Role

Plan, create, and implement engaging activities for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Keep a record of children’s progress and reflect on learning practices.

Communicate to develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.

Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, as well as following all child protection and safeguarding guidelines.

Provide support to fellow nursery staff and foster collaboration.

About You

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)

Enthusiasm for making learning fun and engaging for each child

Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the Early Years Framework.
