Job Description

Nursery: Park Hill Preparatory School & Nursery

Position: Early Years Practitioner, Full-Time

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Kingston upon Thames, London

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a qualified and experienced childcare professional to join our Early Years Team as a Deputy Nursery Manager from the beginning of the January term. Park Hill is located in Kingston, near to transport links and with easy access to London.

We are searching for a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager who shares our passion for holistic education and is eager to contribute to our vibrant community.

· Capacity: 54 Places

· Rooms: First Steps (2 to 3 years), Second Steps (3 to 5 years)

· Opening Times: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, 51 weeks per year

About the Role

Plan, create, and implement engaging activities for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Keep a record of children’s progress and reflect on learning practices.

Communicate to develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.

Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, as well as following all child protection and safeguarding guidelines.

Provide support to fellow nursery staff and foster collaboration.

About You

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)

Enthusiasm for making learning fun and engaging for each child

Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the Early Years Framework.
