Job Description

Buxlow Preparatory School is currently looking to appoint a passionate and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join the nursery.

With Buxlow introducing a Baby room for the first time and experiencing an increase in pupil numbers we require additional staff. The ability to work with every age range and recent nursery experience is essential. We would also ideally like you to hold a Level 3 Early years qualification.

This role is a for 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and would be a permanent position. Our Nursery offers all year round care and you would be part or a great team of practitioners.

We are looking to appoint a well qualified member of staff who will be able to shape and lead in the baby room. The ability to provide a high level of support is essential. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the baby room as well as supporting management in the running of the whole nursery.

This could provide a passionate and dedicated early years practitioner with the opportunity to thrive in our new baby room. Out nursery staff are passionate and work well together. We offer shift work between the hours of 8am-6pm for all our nursery staff.

The successful candidate should be passionate about children’s learning.

If you are able to demonstrate the following we would welcome your application;
• Recent experience working within a nursery.
• Level 3 qualified in Early Years.
• Able to inspire our pupils with enthusiasm and a love of learning
• Have a sound knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years curriculum
• Able to positively impact pupils in every aspect of their education including pastoral care.
• Able to encourage learning and development, through play and teaching.
• Can create a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn
• Can work with parents and carers to support their children
• Enabling children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills
• Monitor progress to enable planning
• Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day
