Are you committed to delivering excellent service provision for older people, and can you support our tenants to stay connected to their local community and help them to find creative solutions to the challenges they may face?

Our Support Workers play an important role in the team at Eildon’s Extra Care Housing (ECH) service for older people at Wilkie Gardens in Galashiels. Shifts are arranged on a rota basis and we can discuss this during the interview process, should you only be available at the weekend only then please add this to your supporting statement when applying

You will assist in the provision of the Extra Care Housing Service, by ensuring tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies in a warm, friendly, and safe environment, directly supporting tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance, direct personal and emotional care.

To ensure that tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies in a friendly and safe environment, with a vibrant social hub, you should have experience of supporting older people living within their own home, ideally in a supported housing environment.

You should ideally have an SVQ3 in Health and Social Care. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available.
