Our Scheme Assistants will play an important role in the team at Dovecot Court in Peebles, Eildon’s Extra Care Housing (ECH) service for older people. The shift patterns vary over 7 days and can be discussed during the interview process.
You will assist in the provision of the ECH Service, by ensuring all communal areas are clean, hygienic and tidy while working with the team to provide a warm, friendly and safe environment for tenants.
You will ensure that tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies in a friendly and safe environment. With a vibrant social hub you will become involved in utilising this as well as encouraging tenants and the local community to host social activities. You must have an interest in supporting older people and the ability to encourage them to enjoy life.
You will need to have an interest in people, a positive can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to multitask. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values.
