It is a really exciting time in the academy’s development as we look to expand our provision, enhance the curriculum offer and build a reputation as the alternative provider of choice in the county. We have made some really exciting appointments in the last year at a time where recruitment presents it challenges and we are now looking to offer a full -time permanent contract for a teacher to join our academy.
We are looking to recruit 2 experienced and inspiring teachers to join our academy to teach Maths. We have 2 posts available, one for the existing Hasland site and one for new site which will also be located in Chesterfield. This can be discussed on informal enquiry prior to application. The start date for the new site would be for January 2024. These sites house pupils in KS3 and KS4. The staffing teams are small compared to mainstream schools and the post will suit teachers who will take ownership of their subject and are willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the pupils and the academy. The Hasland site currently has approximately 100 pupils on roll. Classes may have up to around 10 pupils and you will be an allocated form tutor to a class. We deliver GCSE, entry level and Functional Skills. The new site will be on a smaller scale to Hasland with fewer classes and a smaller staffing team.
We welcome applications from candidates who are able to teach engaging and inspiring lessons to challenging and disengaged KS3 and 4 pupils. This is a maths teaching position however, experience in the delivery of other subjects may be advantageous.
